How It Works & Pricing
My time is limited so I only take on work that interests me and I prefer single figures or small dioramas. This also means the piece gives me more motivation and results in a better paintjob. I always offer an estimate of time for completion but this is a guide, I will not rush a piece just to make a deadline!
Unlike most other commission painters I DO NOT ask for any money up front (excluding any models I am purchasing). You only pay once the work is finished and you are happy with the result. You may supply the miniatures or I can purchase them. This will be charged at RRP generally.
I will clean, carry out conversions and assemble, make good then prime the minis. I will pin where necessary to give maximum strength to the piece. During painting I will email progress photos to you and we can then make changes as necessary. I will base the mini to your choosing (including display plinths if needed). Once complete I will send final photographs for your approval. If you are happy then you pay and I ship them out to you. If you are not satisfied then I will attempt to rectify any problems until you are happy with the result. The price also includes varnish (matt, satin or gloss) if desired.
A lot of commission painters have several levels of work, I only have one level of service and that is my very best I paint for competition standard therefore the price of each commission is on its own merits. Even two 28mm pieces can be very different!! Price will also depend upon requirements such as conversions, freehand, NMM, basing etc.
