Is there no end to these contest? NO they just keep coming full of lovely prizes for the painting gladiators of Wamp, tempting yout time constraints to the limit with their promises of free metal goodness and this one is no different (well, ok a little different - but only the prizes!)
Its now the turn of Urban Mammoth
www.urbanmammoth.com
First up the rules:
You must be a Wamp Member to participate although membership is free.
You may enter as many times as you like but each entry may only submit one photograph so if you need more angles it MUST be a montage
any additional photographs of that entry will be removed
Each entrant is only eligible for one prize. In the event of an entrant winning more than one prize they will receive the prize of highest value - any subsequent prizes will be awarded to the next highest placed entrant.
All entries must be new work
You give Wamp and Urban Mammoth permission to use your pictures for publicity (but you do retain owenrship)
You may post pictures of WIP or final shots both here and elsewhere
Judging will be carried out by an open public vote which will run for 5 days
The deadline for submission is 15th September 5pm GMT
IF you are a wamp supporter then you benefit from an extended dealine which will be 72 hours later at 5pm 18th September GMT (for details on becoming a wamp sponsor please visits the announcements section)
Submissions must be posted to the Urban Mammoth contest album
All entries must feature Urban Mammoth miniatures only. You may use accesories and bases from other companies as long as the piece is inherently Urban Mammoth
You may enter a single miniature, diorama full 300 piece battle scene - whatever you like as long as its Urban Mammoth.
Any problems or questions then feel free to ask here or pm me
Now the good bit:
the prizes:
this contest is a little different - no run of the mill lead up for grabs here but medals! Special Urban Mammoth medals for the first 3 places are up for grabs

yea i really like the prizes too very cool and gives a nice twist to things. In some respects i prefer prizes like this, gives a more unique feel to a competition. Shame i don't have any of their models, maybe next time for me |

Really gutted I'm not going to be able to enter as I was really looking forward to this one and had a nice model out of the box and getting built (yes it left the box!)
Hopefully another one next year? |

| Can you convert the miniature, or does it have to be their standard version of the miniature with any othre base/ props we want to add? |

| you may convert it but it must still be inherently urban mammoth so keep conversions subtle (so no adding great big forgeworld parts on it!!) you do so at your own risk and i cannot be held accountable for any disqualification (well i can as it will prbably be me that does it but hey you get the drift!) |

Just so I am completely clear on this because there is different set of rules for the following 2 points in another thread called, "Upcoming Painting Contests".
1) Is judging done by John Robertson of UM like the other post says, or is it actually going to be open voting?
2) The other post says September 6 is the deadline but this one says that it's the 15th.
Thanks in advance for the clarification.
